METRIC UNIT USED FOR MEASURING CAPACITY (Liquid)
Two metric units for measuring Liquids are milliliters (ml) and liters (l). Milliliters are used for smaller amounts and Liters are used for larger amounts.
It is estimated that a milliliter is 20 drops from an eye dropper.

METRIC TABLE FOR CAPACITY (LIQUID)
10 milliliters = 1 centiliter
10 centiliters = 1 deciliter
10 deciliters = 1 liter
10 liters = 1 decaliter
10 decaliters = 1 hectoliter
10 hectoliters = 1 kiloliter

SOME TOOLS USED FOR MEASURING CAPACITY (LIQUID)
A measuring cup or measuring jug is a kitchen utensil used mainly to measure the volume of liquid especially for volumes from about 50 mL (2 fl oz) upwards. The cup will usually have a scale marked in cups and fractions of a cup, and often with fluid measure and weight of a selection of dry foodstuffs. Measuring cups can be used to measure all kind of things.
A syringe is a simple pump that contains a plunger ( at the top) that fits tightly in a tube. The plunger can be pulled and pushed along inside a barrel, allowing the syringe to take in and push out liquids or gas through an opening at the end of the tube. The open end of the syringe may be fitted with a needle, a nozzle, or tubing to help direct the flow into and out of the barrel. Syringes are often used to administer injections, put certain drugs into the bloodstream, apply things such as glue or lubricant, and measure liquids.
A beaker is a simple container for stirring, mixing and heating liquids commonly used in many laboratories. Beakers are generally shaped like a cylinder, with a flat bottom. Most also have a small spout (or "beak") to assist pouring. Beakers are available in a wide range of sizes, from one milliliter up to several liters.
